Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a vital role in the organization's Data Science team, responsible for gathering and analyzing business data to support strategic decision-making processes. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, design data models, develop analytical reports, and provide actionable insights to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into data analysis and reporting solutions.
2. Develop and maintain data models and databases to ensure accurate and efficient data storage and retrieval.
3. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse for analysis and reporting purposes.
4. Analyze complex datasets using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
5. Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively present analytical findings and key performance indicators (KPIs).
6. Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support business initiatives, such as customer segmentation, market research, and predictive modeling.
7. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business intelligence and data science.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role, utilizing data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
3. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
4. Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques.
5. Experience with programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R.
6. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and schema design.
7. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
10. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
